"So, Billy-Bob, are you ever going to introduce me to that pretty young thing?"
"You mean my married mother?"
"Yes, her."
"Then no, I won't, Ginger."
Ginger heaves out a disappointed sigh, and raises the coffee-cup to his lips, taking a careful sip and sticking his pinky finger out. I do the same but with more finesse and spit back out the coffee. I stare at the new spot on my uniform, and try wiping at it with saliva unsuccessfully. Finally, I just settle for frowning at it in defeat.
"How can you be a successful firefighter but can't fix a cup of coffee with two spoonfuls of sugar?" I glare at Durpy, the youngest of the crew. He
Oh, mother,
How much do I wish
To see again the colors?
To see again that flower,
That bloomed only in your care?
How much do I wish
To see the tree I fell from once?
To see your face,
To see you smile,
To see the colors in the sky?
Never will I see again
The birds that sing outside the house.
Oh, mother,
I would give it all to see again.
To see an ant,
I'd give my house.
To see a door,
I'd eat raw food.
But my dear mother;
To see your smiling face again
I'd give the world.
Wish not this to your worst enemy,
For being color blind
Won't let you see the sun,
See the sky
Or see the stars.
But mother;
Being color blind
Papers fly
Round Elizabeth.
She raises her hand
Ant the papers fly higher.
She lowers her hand
And the papers descend.
She points to the board,
And chalks start writing.
Up, down,
Up, down.
Suddenly she stops
And everything falls down.
She turns,
And I'm busted just like that.
I start running for my life,
Down the halls
And in the rooms.
But suddenly I stop,
And looking down I see I'm floating.
Elizabeth appears,
And with a smile she lifts me higher.
She puts a finger to her lips,
And with a wink she disappears.
I wander around,
With no destination.
With no idea where I am,
I kick a rock
In the middle of the night.
I can hear the rock bounce
On the cruel and cold pavement;
Until it stops and rests at ease.
I keep walking,
With no destination,
Feeling lost,
Yet knowing exactly where I am.
I reach the hill,
And glance back for the last time.
And even from here
I can see someone wave
From the place that once
I used to call home.
She keeps talking to me,
On and on about her life;
Her family,
Her friends
Her bosses and her job.
"Hush!" I tell her, glancing around.
She looks at me with sad eyes but keeps talking.
Her high school,
Her teachers,
Her first and last boyfriend.
"Hush!" I sneer, praying to get out.
She scoots closer to me,
And puts an arm around my neck.
I protest,
But she puts a finger to my lips.
"Hush " she says, removing her finger.
She gives me a kiss and I'm stunned
She has hushed me.
I was once told,
The eyes are the gates to your soul.
His eyes are light green;
Yet full of darkness,
Scary darkness.
Through them you can see,
The hate and distaste.
So much hate,
Radiating from them.
If he glares,
You step back.
Through them an unspoken demand can be seen:
Don't come near,
Now or ever.
But in spite of his warning,
I take two steps forward.
And make eye contact
With his dark widened eyes.
But as I step closer,
I see a small thing
At the corner of his eye
I see love.
And with that a battle begins;
Love to hate
Hate to love,
Blue to green
Green to blue,
Light to dark
Dark to light.
But the w
I want you to hug me,
I want you to kiss me,
I want you to hold me,
And never let go of me.
Please, oh please,
Just one smile,
Just one stare,
Please just make me,
Fall in daze.
Maybe if you love me,
Maybe if you need me,
You'll give me what I want.
Don't be a fool,
You know what I want,
You know I want you.
He was not worth it.
Not a tear,
Not your love,
Not the time spent at all.
If he thinks that 3 rides,
Are not worth spent to you;
Then he is not worth
All your pain,
The mistakes,
Happy times;
And yourself.
I roll in bed,
But no sleep comes.
I roll again,
And face the window.
Through the window I see the night,
I see the stars
I see the full moon.
Through my window I see the tree,
That's moving with the wind.
I see my car
That's parked outside,
That I know I'll use again.
My window has fog,
And I get out of bed,
To clear it again.
Now I see better,
My mind has cleared too.
I go back to bed,
And thanking my window
I fall asleep
As my window has cleared.
Dearest love,
Dearest heart,
Dearest soul.
I have been mourning,
Crying,
Sobbing,
Laughing,
Smiling,
Waiting for you,
Waiting with my wings wide open.
For my wings can only hold you.
For my wings will only wait you.
For my wings are yours,
If you claim them.
And they,
Will only hold you.

She thought he was true.
She thought she knew.
She believed, he lied.
He said it was love,
Her purity like a dove.
She believed, he lied.
All she needed was a man.
He said "I'll give you all I can".
She believed, he lied.
His lies were sleek; foolproof, he thought.
But soon enough, they once were caught.
She believed, he lied.
She knew that sometime soon he'd come
But she would never be that dumb.
She believed, he lied.
Have you ever wondered if love exists? Because it is a question I ask myself all the time. My biggest fear? Having no-one. If you analyze it, you will wonder who in the right mind asks herself if love really does exist. Maybe, up until some point, it must. Some of us are lucky enough to find someone who they want to spend the rest of their life with. Somone who they would give their life for and mourn greatly for their death. We people have used love too much, made it so popular people lose their tracks and only search for that special feeling -love. Sometimes they don't find it and end up with nothing and alone.
